Is FlightScope easy to use?

FlightScope is exceptionally easy to use. Once set-up, it just keeps monitoring ball after ball. The program on the notebook is both intuitive and comprehensive. Most users get it set up in less than 15 minutes. There are no fiddly adjustments to make. It essentially calibrates itself. You may need additional equipment. We recommend the following:

Computer: FlightScope software is not very demanding on the computer that runs it. Almost any modern entry level computer will suffice. However, if FlightScope is used outside, we highly recommend the use of Sony notebook computers that have “Clear Brite” screen technology. It is our experience that these screens are clearer and brighter in sunlight. Please contact us if you need a recommendation as to model and configuration.

Power: FlightScope requires AC power from 95V to 240V. It draws a maximum of 0.5 A, depending on the model and voltage. If power is not readily available, we recommend the use of a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) such as the Powerware range available from many of the Dick Smith Electronics outlets around the country. In particular, the 330VA unit at $128 should power your FlightScope for over 4 hours. Your notebook computer would be powered by its internal batteries.
